he most gorgeous set of Siam enameled silver in the more unusual red enameling. There is the necklace measuring 40 cm end to end with 7 sterling silver (marked) discs each interspersed with a small red enameled cabochon. The earrings match and are clip on. The measurement of each disc on all the pieces is 2 cm x 2 cm. The bracelet has 7 discs with a small red enameled cabochon either side of each disc. All in excellent condition, marked for sterling silver. The bracelet measures 17 cm end to end with a firm push in sterling silver clasp. Just perfect, and gift boxed for giving. This lovely set is likely to have been produced in the 1960’s-early 1970’s period, although the Siam silver or Nielloware as it is called has been produced since the 1930’s in Thailand. The beautiful silver etching symbolizes respect to the Gods and often these pieces of jewelry were brought back as souveneirs and gifts.
